Baby, Shower, Graduation Oh MY!

I have decided that I am very bad at updating my blog. I am sorry. But now I am done with classes and just waiting for baby, so I will most likely have more time to update. Sean and I only have a few more weeks till the baby. We are so excited. The nursery is done, our bags are packed now all we needs is a baby. My mother and sister threw me a baby shower. It was so wonderful to see friends and family. Sean and I got mostly everything we needed. I was so excited with all the baby gifts I put everything away the moment I got home. I couldn't wait to wash all the clothes and blankets. I just hope the nursery stays as nice and neat as it is now. Probably not though. It has been a busy couple of weeks. Besides having a shower, I finished my student teaching and graduated with my music education teaching certificate. I am so glad to be done with school. Student teaching was a lot of fun and the faculty got me a wonderful baby present as a parting gift. I will really miss working at the school. It was hard teaching little kids and being pregnant. The kids were very cute about the baby but I was always concerned about getting sick.

Being pregnant has helped me realize the good and bad things to say to a pregnant person. Here are some thing that have been said to me, that I think should never be said to a pregnant person 1. Anything about how big you look. Duh I know I'm pregnant, you don't need to tell me I'm huge. And no, I'm not having twins. Actually, every time I go to the doctor to get measured they tell me I'm just right. I'm not too big, I'm not too small. Please just say I look great, that would be nice.

2. If I choose to tell you what names my husband and I like for my baby please do not say anything negative. It is not your child so why do you feel like you need to tell me if you hate the name or if you knew a such and such that was mean to you when you were in 3rd grade. Just listen and say that sounds like a nice name and take it as a compliment that I shared the information with you.

3. Please do not tell me any birthing horror stories. Do you really think that would make me feel better? It's different when my nurse or doctor are preparing me for labor but when someone on the street tells me about something horrible it just FREAKS me out.

Well those are my top three things to keep to your self. I just had to get that off my chest. I'm sure other pregnant people will agree with me. Other then those comments I have really enjoyed being pregnant. I'm sure, since I've had an easy pregnancy, everything from labor and on is going to be difficult. I guess only time will tell. I'm so glad I have a wonderful husband and family to help me through it all. Anyways, here are some pictures form the shower and graduation and the nursery.
